====== How to find the installation directory of my Settlers 3 installation? ======

It depends on which [[en:siedler3:editionen|Settlers 3 edition]] You did:

  * Settler 3, Settler 3 Mission CD, Settler 3 Amazons or Settler 3 Gold
    * Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1 or Windows 10:
      - Press the Windows key and search for "Settlers 3" by typing the word exactly the same way - don't click, don't press Enter.
      - Now right-click on the location and click "Open file location".
      - This will open an Explorer window showing your Settlers 3 installation directory.
    * Linux

  * Settlers 3 History Edition
    - Start uPlay.
    - Switch to the overview of your games in uPlay.
    - There select Settlers 3 by clicking on .
    - Go to "Properties" on the left.
    - There you will see a box called "Local Files". Click on the button "Open folder".
    - This will open an Explorer window with your Settlers 3 installation directory.
