aLobby stands for **"Alternative Lobby"**. The name comes from the time in which this software was originally developed. At that time the original lobby of the settler 3-manufacturer Bluebyte/Ubisoft was switched off again and again, so that the players needed an alternative. They found them in the aLobby. The name is now used as a proper name to increase the searchability on the internet.
