What is the LAN mode

The LAN mode is a state in which the aLobby is used in a limited, local network. This mode was originally developed solely for this purpose. Today (in 2019) it is no longer used. However, the option still exists. However, its functionality cannot be guaranteed due to the constant further development of the aLobby. It has proved to be practical to use the aLobby itself on LANs in online mode, which is very easy thanks to the VPN connection offered.

The setting for the LAN mode can be found under Settings on the „Lanparty“ tab.

1. To deactivate the LAN mode you only have to check the box in front of „The alternative lobby is used on the Internet“ in the window above.
2. Then restart the aLobby.
3. Done.
